Barn storage find. The story: An uncle taught industrial woodworking at trade schools in both North Carolina and Tennessee. He lived in Boone, N.C. A wood furniture making company in Blowing Rock, North Carolina was closing and asked my uncle if he would like ALL of their unfinished table legs, drawers, table tops, etc. My uncle who had plenty of storage space and who LOVED to collect and keep; took the hoard and stored it on the second floor of his barn in Roan Mountain, TN, along with the rest of his hoard. (smile)
My uncle has since passed away and because I have a 16,000 square foot warehouse my aunt said, "Take it, I have sold the property".
Though I have sold bits and pieces here and there, I really would like someone to take it off my hands. It is taking up considerable room in my warehouse that I would like to utilize for other things; therefore I would like to sell the entire lot. It is solid wood, not particle board.
Some is walnut, some is maple, some is pine I'm sure, but ALL of it came from the furniture maker in Blowing Rock, N.C.
Also, could not post all the photos, but tried to high light on the items. There are several table tops that are 4-5 feet, end table tops, coffee table tops, and wood jigs for making many of the pieces also given to my uncle that are not represented by photos here.
I do not do wood work and my wife wants to use for crafts, but there is no way she can utilize all this wood for her craft projects. She already has a masonry project she has been working on for four years. :)
Please look at all the photos. Most, if not all, of the pieces are slotted or made to be fastened with other pieces.
