  • Condition: Locomotive runs smoothly forward and back, rear light works. Several details are damaged or missing and perhaps there is other damage. Looks to have been handled roughly -- parts broken off, missing altogether. Model may well have come directly from the Scratch/Dent/and Worse Sale SHS had when they closed up shop. Still has the wonderful plastic protective case but no box, no directions, no anything else.

    Description

    On offer is an S Helper Service (SHS) 2-8-0 S scale steam locomotive #2819 with scale wheels that has been treated badly.  Parts broken off, detached and missing.  Paint is marred in some areas that are not usually visible (underneath the cylinders) and perhaps in other areas.  The good new is (1) the locomotive runs smoothly forward and back, (2) many of the details are present and undamaged, and (3) cosmetically the model still looks good.
    Please compare pictures of this model with pictures of a mint SHS 2-8-0 -- surely you can find some online -- so that you can get an accurate idea of this model's condition and what details may be missing.
