Description
Lulzbot Taz 5. Duet WiFi And Linear Rails Converted 3d Printer.I love this printer, but it takes up too much space and I’d prefer to have two of the same model printers that can share profiles. I’m far to lazy to make a second one of these, so it’s up for sale.
I will trade this outright for either an assembled or still in the box Prusa I3 MK3S+ if you make the drive out to make a deal.
This printer started off as a stock Taz 5. All modifications were made with genuine parts instead of clones.
It has been fully converted to Duet Wifi board utilizing BLTouch for bed leveling. The printer puts out perfect first layers.
The printer has been converted to linear rails on the X and Y axis. Motion is much smoother and more precise than with the rods and Igus bearings.
After all of the upgrades, I would say this printer can hold its own against just about any printer out there.
Uses a 7” PanelDue touchscreen display for on printer controls.
The toolhead is a new style 1.75mm filament E3D Titan Aero with a .4mm Nozzle X.
Bed leveling is done via the BLTouch. The printer runs both z axis motors individually for true bed leveling.
Comes with a removable magnetic bed plate topped with a Gizmodorks PEI sheet.
Build volume is 280x280x280.
Original plastic corners have been replaced with metal braces.
The printer has aluminum toppers on the z axis for additional strength.
No 1.75mm filament is included, but I will give you all the partial 2.85 rolls I have.
Please be aware that the Duet controls take some getting used to if you’ve never used them. You will also need to go in and set your network information so it will connect to your internet.
Duet boards use RepRap Gcode. You will need to adjust your slicer settings.
I will provide you with my Prusa Slicer profiles for the printer to get you started.
Local pickup in or near Iredell Texas. I will not ship.
