    Description

    Lionel standard gauge 318E black loco set featuring three 516 data-stamped coal hoppers and one 517 caboose. A special set made in 1929 only - this example is all original (apart from the touch ups on the loco), and in Very Good Plus (C6+) to Excellent (C7) condition. Ideal for the collector! The 318E features brass trim, an 0-4-0 configuration, is 12 and a half inches in length, and has red lettered brass plates. It does have some touch ups. The 517 caboose features a red body and cupola, black cupola ends, black roof, and orange windows. The three 516 coal hoppers feature black lettered brass plates, brass ladders and brake wheels, nickel journals, and brass rubber stamped data on sides. A great looking set - the paint is nice and shiny and is in remarkable condition considering it is celebrating its 90th birthday this year!
