Here is a section of twisted wood from a wisteria vine. We had to cut one down when the structure it was climbing on, rotted out from age. The wood was just cut, so it's still green, would need to be dried. We thought maybe someone would want to make a walking stick. I'm sure there are other uses. Actually there are many uses in the garden, so if no one buys it, I'll use it for another vine to climb. In that case I would imbed the base in concrete and possibly use some of my many old iron items as side interest and more growing area. Perhaps RR spikes, gate hinges, even horse shoes. Wood dowels would work as well. About 54" long. The diameter varies from 5.5" to 7.5". We cut it extra long and we can cut it to a shorter length, but you would need to precisely tell us WHERE to cut. That would also reduce the postage, but I strongly advise to buy it as is. It seemed better to leave as long as possible so the buyer can dry it and then see what section and length is best. Most of the length is fused together, but at the thinnest part the two vines, though twisted, are not yet fused together. That section is about a foot long. You could always tie it together with leather or brass or copper wire.  Please review the photos, as always they are the best description. You can always meet us for local pick-up and we can deliver to some areas. Just message us! We apologize for the shipping cost. The Post Office has been BRUTAL lately so we are having to do OVERKILL packaging to prevent destruction.

Shipping
A word about shipping: shipping involves a lot more than postage or UPS charges. We have labels, boxes, packing materials and a "longer than most" trip to the Post Office or UPS. We are very rural and the post office and UPS will not pick up our packages. So we have 10 miles every shipping day and if a buyer pays, we ship IMMEDIATELY, even if their package is the ONLY one to be shipped. We do not over charge for shipping, but sometimes if you are a lot closer than we estimated your shipping expense may be less. Please ask if you think the shipping shown in the auction is too much based on your location, and we will give you an individualized quote. If you live close by you can even pick up!
