INDIAN SCOUT MOTORCYCLE PRIMARY COVER HEADDRESS BACKGROUND DECAL, STICKER

Description

Up for sale is a vinyl decal for the primary cover background area of the 2020-2021 Indian Scout motorcycle. The decal covers the black or chrome background area for the headdress medallion.  The decal is cut to order from Oracal 651 Intermediate vinyl, that is a 7 year, 2.5 Mil vinyl, and comes in your choice of 47 different colors. ( SEE COLOR SWATCH PICTURE )  The decal is not very difficult to install,  and can be done in minutes.  The decal is NOT affected by the heat of the engine, in fact, the heat makes the decal bond like paint for many years of good looks.  The only enemy is Micro Fiber.  The best material for caring for your decals is soft cotton,  like old concert shirts turned inside out, or similar.
To install the decal, start with a cool clean engine and clean hands.
1)  Apply one or two drops of soap solution, (three drops of Dawn dishwashing liquid, to 10-12 ounces of water), to the headdress medallion background area.
2)  Peel the paper backing off the background decal,  and then peel the decal from the transfer paper as you begin to apply the decal to the headdress medallion.
3)  Slide the decal into the best position and blot out any fluid and air bubbles with a paper towel and your finger. I found it best to line up the decal with the chin and neck area of the headdress figure first. The rest of the decal should fall closely into place.
4)  Apply some gentle heat with a heat gun or hair dryer just to seat the decal. While applying light heat, gently run your fingernail around the headdress edges and perimeter. Final bonding will occur when the engine is started and allowed to heat up.
5)  Once decal is installed and smoothed out,  start engine and idle for 10 - 15 minutes to bond decal completely.  Continuing to smooth out the decal while the engine is running is perfectly alright.  After decal is completely bonded,  turn off engine and allow engine to cool to room temperature.
6)  After decal is completely bonded to medallion,  you will need to take a hobby blade or similar and trim the vinyl decal around the half moon bolt recess in front of the face of the headdress.  That’s It.  Your Done.  Ride And Enjoy !!
JUST REMEMBER……NO MICRO FIBER, and do not use a brush or pressure washer to clean.
Decals can be waxed and cleaned just like your paint surfaces.
If you ever wanted to remove the decal, all you need is a little heat from a heat gun or hair dryer, and the decal will stretch and peel off without even a trace of glue.
