The Copper Carbon Classics are Fiberreed's newest innovation made from copper and carbon infused epoxy. The sound is
somewhat warmer and playability is more comparable to traditional Vandorens, the Classic cut having more resistance and fuller body.
The Carbon Onyx model is a Fiberreed innovation made from a carbon fiber infused epoxy. These Fiberreeds have great playability, beautiful sound and evenness throughout the registers. It does not have the signature buzz of the white hollow-fiber material which is the basis of all the other models.
The Natural model is made of the white hollow fiber material that is the basis of all Fiberreeds.  It has a very clean sound that is more authentic than most cane reeds.
The Natural Classic is made of the same white hollow fiber material that is the basis of all the Fiberreeds.  It is cut so it has a little more body before it thins out to the tip thereby giving it a warmer, thicker sound than the original Fiberreed.
The Carbon model is layered with carbon fiber, giving it it's distinct black and white striped look.  The carbon fiber is very hard which gives these reeds a very bright sound that is particularly useful for playing rock, R&B, and Jazz because it can handle loud volume and the demands of altissimo playing.  It still responds beautifully at low volume and low register, too.
The Carbon Classic is made like the striped Carbon model but is cut a little thicker, giving it the same brightness of the Carbon with a little more resistance and body.  It is especially suited for narrow or baffled mouthpieces.
The Hemp model is layered with Hemp fibers and topped with several layers of hardwood resulting in its distinct brown and white striped look.  The result is what may be called a complex, earthy tone without any loss of clarity and brilliance in the upper and altissimo ranges.
