The Carolina Rig is a very effective bass fishing rig that allows you to fish a finesse “weightless” soft plastic quickly and efficiently due to a weight being placed further up the line. The Carolina Rig consists of your line through a weight and bead, tied to a swivel, which is then tied to another length of line (often 2-4' long) attached to a hook. The weight allows you to drag or hop the rig along the bottom while the bait follows, darting along and weightlessly falling every time the rig comes to a rest.
