    Description

    For parts or repair. This American Flyer Hudson is a great candidate for a full restoration. The shells and details are in very good condition. After testing both the locomotive and tender, the motor in the engine runs but is dry and needs cleaning and lube. The E-unit cycles but is very stiff. She's been sitting awhile. Headlight works.
    The smoke-in-tender unit works good. The motor is dry and needs lube but turns over good. The bellows is in surprisingly good shape with one tear. I didn't check to see if the heating element produces smoke. The mechanism connecting the smoke motor to the bellows is very nice.
    For missing parts: the engine needs two connecting rods and screws, a rear truck(the screw is there), and the drawbar with hardware. The tender is complete minus the drawbar and is missing nothing. The two rear ladder steps on the tender are bent in a little. The rear coupler is nice. And the engine has a chip in the decorative white trim on one of the middle drivers, but the wheel is good.
