    Description

Practical WW2 Period Storage for today's hiking, camp, hunting and re-enactment.
These tins have authentic painted finish to duplicate ration tins as provided to British and Commonwealth troops during World War 2 - post D-Day and are of museum display grade accuracy and quality.  The ultimate mid-century retro!
Small flat tins are rectangular and pocket sized - 4.25" x 3" and just over an inch deep.  They feature lid retention lip bulges and a corner coin pry groove as well as a modern silicon lid liner to provide a more air tight seal.
Large flat tins are large and flat - way bigger than your pocket.
The "Tommy Cooker" (TC) Fuel tins have an inner airtight lid and a slip on cover - they are a little over 2" diameter and 4" tall, they feature an authentic internal card liner and lid sealing tape.
The tea cans are decorated WW2 A1 size and smooth sided sealed cans (of British air!), these can be opened (we recommend a can opener), then they can be used for storage, display and holding the levers on dummy hand grenades on trip wire traps (JK).
Brown ration tins and TC fuel cans come with an authentic re-sealable tape band around the lid joint.
Boiled Sweets, Salt and Matches! - because everything was rationed - including getting a head start on diabetes, heart disease and high blood pressure.  We do have authentic British Boiled Sweets, replicated salt packs (holding single servings) and are working on period reproduction match books - message for more info.
Horlicks! - the emergency chewable action food of adventurers, polar explorers and the RAF!  We are sourcing modern day Horlicks servings so that you can add them to the tin and impress your friends.
Cigarettes! - because kids wont look for snacks or money around a disgusting habit.
Tea! - because every adventurer should stop every 2 hours to drink and pass hot yellow liquid.
We will also be looking to make Tommy Cookers (trail stoves for pint mug liquids / meals) and adding the spare base to the tin kit options - as it should be.
These rations tins were used in various numbers in 14 Man crated rations and ARV and other vehicle ration cases for 2, 3 and 5 men.
Tins are not waterproof, bear proof or crash tested, not to be exposed to raw food and drink (for its contamination).
