Description

American Flyer Postwar Santa Fe S gauge diesel passenger train with most original boxes.  Powered PA diesel locomotive in an original box, nonpowered PB diesel locomotive in an original box, vista dome (missing part of both couplers, no box), combine (missing part of one coupler) in a worn original box, and an observation car in a worn original box.  Some rust and oxidation on the locomotives and cars.
Source of Items: All trains come from collections, so that the item's history is usually unknown. The items are auctioned EXACTLY as received from the collections. We conduct many sales on ebay and elsewhere, and we don't have the staff, equipment, or facilities to test the items, so all items are sold untested. C10 -- Mint,Brand New: all original; unused and unblemished
C9 -- Factory New, Brand New: all original; unused; may evidence factory rubs and the slightest evidence of handling, shipping and having been test run at the factory.
C8 -- Like New, Complete all original; no rust; no missing parts; may show effects of being on display and/or age; may have been run.
C7 -- Excellent: All original: minute scratches and paint nicks; no rust and no missing parts; no distortion of component parts.
C6 -- Very Good: Minor scratches and paint nicks; minor spots of surface rust; free of dents. May have minor parts replaced.
C5 -- Good: Sign of Playwear; scratches and minor paint loss. Small dents; minor surface rust. Evidence of heavy use.
C4 -- Fair: Scratched, moderate paint loss, dented, missing parts, surface rust. Evidence of heavy use.
C3 -- Poor: Requires major body repair: Heavily scratched, major rust and missing parts. Restoration candidate.
C2 -- Poor/Junk: Restoration Required
C1 -- Junk: Parts Value Only
