    Description

    Here is a really nice looking vintage American Flyer Postwar "Northern" or "Challenger" 4-8-4 steam locomotive and tender.
    Like any vintage used toy, there are small nicks and scratches.  May have had a bit of touchup over the years, not sure.  It still makes a nice colorful appearance.  Locomotive ran and smoked when tested.  Has been in storage for years.  Should be cleaned and lubed before using much.  Also, single wire that activates smoke is a bit loose where it goes into loco from tender.  May need to be re-soldered before long.  This was American Flyer's largest and most impressive S Gauge locomotive!
    Sold as shown in pictures.  These are vintage display and collector's items sold as a project for the knowledgeable adult hobbyist.  These are old and will often need tinkering and TLC.  NOT sold as an everyday toy to be played with by a child.  Please ask and get answers to all questions before you bid.  Sold as/is, no returns.  Shipping is .99. This will ship in a large oversized box.  Depending on where you live, may have to ship Fed Ex Ground or UPS.  Accordingly, I will need a physical address, NOT a PO Box.  I only sell to the USA.  Thanks for looking!
