Description
Here is a really nice looking vintage 335 American Flyer Postwar "Northern" or "Challenger" 4-8-4 steam locomotive and tender. The 335 model is quite a bit harder to find than the more well known 336.Like any vintage used toy, there are small nicks and scratches. May have had a bit of touchup over the years, not sure. It still makes a nice colorful appearance. One number board has come loose from top of boiler, but it is provided, as shown in last picture. Easy to re-attach.
I plugged wiring harness from tender into receptacle on locomotive and connected single wire from tender to its counterpart on the locomotive and bench tested. It ran when I did this. Has been in storage for years. Should be cleaned and lubed before using much. Like most American Flyer S Gauge, reverse unit is a bit finicky. Sold as a project that will need this done before you run on a layout. This was American Flyer's largest and most impressive S Gauge locomotive! Be sure you can do this TLC work and understand BEFORE buying.
Sold as shown in pictures. These are vintage display and collector's items sold as a project for the knowledgeable adult hobbyist. These are old and will often need tinkering and TLC. NOT sold as an everyday toy to be played with by a child. Please ask and get answers to all questions before you bid. Sold as/is, no returns. Shipping is .99. This will ship in a large oversized box. Depending on where you live, may have to ship Fed Ex Ground or UPS. Accordingly, I will need a physical address, NOT a PO Box. I only sell to the USA. Thanks for looking!
NOTE ABOUT COMBINED SHIPPING!! PLEASE READ: I'm happy to do combined shipping, when possible, on multiple purchases at the same time. In order to accomplish this, you must do the following:
1. Put all items you want in your "Shopping Cart" BEFORE purchasing.
2. Pay for everything in the cart as ONE PURCHASE, including the separate shipping charges indicated.
3. Make sure you indicate a physical address, NOT a PO Box for shipping, especially if you live in Western half of USA. Some heavy, large items if put together in a large box will generate additional USPS fees, and I may have to ship FedEx Ground or UPS in order to combine. They do not ship to PO Boxes.
4. Send me an eBay message reminding me of what you did, and desire for combined shipping.
I will then combine purchases in 1 box and tracking number. Once I know the combined cost and savings, I will promptly refund the difference to your account.
Please note, if you don't follow the above instructions, it will result in your items being shipped separately and not receiving any combined shipping discounts.
