We were a Z Corporation 3D Printer Dealer since 2001. 3D Systems acquired Z Corp in 2012, at which time we also began selling their Desktop line of FDM-based 3D Printers from BFB. This was our demo system, never used in heavy production. It was well taken care of. This is a great machine for either Educational, Hobbyist or Professional applications.
It is an
open
system, meaning the material spools
do not
have embedded RFID chips in them (as do the machines later produced by 3D Systems under the Cubify line). One big advantage of buying an older model machine, is not being forced to buy proprietary materials!
This printer is the
high-end model
of the 3D Touch
,
with 3 Print Heads (Extruders). It was introduced AFTER the BFB 3000, and was designed to be much easier to operate, with greater reliability. You can mix different material types (PLA or ABS), or different colors. The additional print heads give the added benefit of REDUNDANCY, in case you should have a clog in one head, or run out of material. Printing from another head is an easy change. This printer also proved more reliable than the CubeX printer, which was introduced after the 3D Touch line (and used their proprietary cartridges with RFID chips).
The photos shown are from this system (except the green 3 ring assy, which was printed by one of our High School customers, on their 3D Touch). The blue & black threaded parts are actual sprinkler components that we printed for a sprinkler manufacturer developing a new product line. The photo of the 18 nut & bolt assemblies was during our test to verify dimensional consistency over many, many prints.
Printer is packed in the original box, and we left an example model on the Print Pad. We can send to Buyer the original Brochure, latest Firmware, Setup and Operations Manual, links to the 3D Systems website that has downloadable software to create the G-Code files, etc.

Support material
PLA / ABS / soluble clear translucent PLA
Support removal
Break away support material with pliers and cutters or just fingers where appropriate. Clear translucent PLA is soluble in a sodium hydroxide solution used with a heated ultrasonic tank – care is required with this option.
