    Description

    For your consideration is this ultra rustic black walnut coffee table or wall art slab. This piece measures 51 1/2 inches long by 16 1/2 to 20 inches wide at the widest point by one and three-quarter down to 1 1/4 inches thickness. This piece will ship 31 lbs. 8 oz. and be well package! I took a block plane and shaved off some different areas to show the dark richness in the chocolate heartwood versus the sapwood contrast. Lateral checking runs almost full length as you can see in the photos. West systems epoxy can stabilize these lateral checks if you choose to use this for a coffee table this piece does have a 3/4 inch cup and has not been sanded or machine planed but has been air dried two years.
